Shishito Peppers in Soy Ginger Sauce


Once upon a time I had a magical lunch date with a very good friend. She filled my day with laughter and my stomach with delicious spicy-ish peppers. That was the day I was introduced to Shishito Peppers. Unfortunately the restaurant we had them at does not serve them up here in Northern California so I found a way to make my own.


  • 8oz shishito peppers
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • ground chili paste to preference of spicyness


Preheat oven to 400. Whisk all ingredients besides peppers together in a bowl in a bowl. Add the rinsed peppers to a bowl and pour the sauce over them, try to get them coated. Pour the peppers into a baking dish in a single layer. P0ur remaining sauce on top to coat. Bake for approximately 20 mins. Enjoy!
